Sea Swirl questions

I am thinking of ditching my OM 4way on my 125 and replacing it with two Sea Swirls. How much clearance do I need for the swirls to mount on the edge of the tank? I have about 3" of clearance is that enough? I am running a Sequence Dart and would like to split that into two swirls, which size Sea Swirls would I need?

I know which sizes can take which flow rates. I was just curious which two should be used to split the flow from a Sequence Dart. I was thinking two 3/4" models.
