i am considering getting a few sea swirls to help w the flow of my tank. Currently i have 2 modded MJ1200s, a koralia 4 and 2 way pump return from my sump. This flow is in a 180, 6x2x2 tank. I realize that this probably isnt enough flow and I can actually use some sea swirls to beef up the random flow. The issue is that i have an acrylic tank and the top of braced. The lip goes about 4 inches around the tank + the center brace (or so). I have seen people put the sea swirl on the edge of the lip and drop the pvc into the water. My q is : wouldnt that create dead space under the sea swirl and "behind it"? (the 4 inches from it, to the back wall?)
