Seachem's new salt, Salinity?

yes every batch is sent to an independent lab that tests the parameters and seachem individually labels each bucket with results

seachem is trying to offer a way to support lfs more and i think its an excellent idea lfs are the backbone of this hobby and see all the front lines of things if you dont like supporting lfs than im sorry but but the online stores are big enough and im all for supporting small business and local business i hate buying online

Being a small business owner myself I can understand your stance on the matter and Seachems.
Unfortunately, I only have one mediocre lfs in my area and they don't offer this product thats why I asked if it was offered online.

where in il are you cuz there are alot of lfs in il what is the name of it if they carry any seachem what so ever then they can get it just ask and im sure they will order it

I'm just outside of Peoria. The two closest lfs to me are Fishin Times and Charlie's.
Both of them get their supplies and live stock from a wholesaler called Wilson Pet Supply.
I also get a lot of my pet supplies from Wilson's(dog food, cat food, ect...)but unfortunately they don't offer Seachems new line of products.

Still using it and no ill effects. WIll still give it another couple months before I make my final decission...

the distributer that you stores order from (willson pet) carry salinity its in stock at the warehouse and should be either 89 or 99 retail so just tell your lfs to order

Currently using it and so far so good. I was using D-D H20 before and really happy with it but just wanted to try this one for a change.

Thanks for tip! I just logged onto Wilsons site and see that they are carrying it now!
Its still $86 plus freight though....:twitch: and thats my cost. I cant imagine what I would get charged going through one of the lfs.

I bought it at its east coast release. I justified it this way - IO 50g mixes to 36 @ 1.026. If 200g costs 45 plus 9 shipping that's $54 but only mixes to 144g. To get to the 225g that the Salinity mixes to, I would have needed just over 300g. If I could buy a half box at the same rate, that's about $77 to get me 225g of IO. The store selling Salinity sells it for $87. For $10 I get a guaranteed analysis on the bucket which matched my salifert kits. I mix mine in 32g buckets and since the initial batch have not tested anything for water changes. My coral are thriving and my fish are happy.

just to be sure im talking about Wilson pet the wholesale distributer for retail stores and i just checked with them and its a lot cheaper than that

We switched are entire store to salinity in april and it reduced the supplement needs by 25 to 50 percent. We use different supplements on all the systems to test there effectiveness and report to our customers. I switched our main 720 gallon coral system to the aqua vitro line and it has impressed me. The dosing is much easier to find the balance.
To become a certified dealer you do need to go to Atl for training but you can sell there products without it. I didn't get to go because I had summer school courses this year.

I have been using it for about 2 months now and love it! My lfs here in Sacramento,Ca. has it for $64.99. All numbers are good. It was recommended to me from some people in the San Francisco Bay area that have had great luck with it. So far, so good...

What all this about you cant get it online. This place sells it online but is out of stock ATM.
http://www.neptuneaquatics.com/supply/aquavirto-salinity. I can get it locally for I think it was $75, cant believe some of the prices out there. I stopped using Pro Reef cause it got over $90 and even that was expensive. Now I cant get it locally and its over $100 online also.

No, if you read the print under that. It says that product is sold in-store only. That's why you can't get it online from them. They are showing you that they carry it, but you have to buy it at their store.

Ok I did not read into it to much, just saw that they have it. Give it time the online stores will start to carry it.

No they will not...

The aquavitro line was a strict deal between fish stores and Seachem. This was to help bring more buisness to local stores. Store owners had to attend training to carry the aquavitro line, from what I am told.....
