Seaclone 100 Protein Skimmer

Hey guys I just purchased a Seaclone 100 Skimmer and added it to me existing tank. I know nothing about skimmers and am wondering if it is normal for the unit not to produce enough foam to spill over into the collection cup? Is there a break in period? Any tricks to adjusting it? Any input would be appreciated.

Not to make you feel bad but take it back now hurry clean it up so they can't tell you used it and take it back. The only way you can get it todo any thing is take it to jason and let him do the mod!!!! If you look on www.chemicalvalleyreefclub.com his mod is on there. This skimmer is about as bad as they get lol I think you can get a Coral life ss for the same price

The corallife almost compairs to some high end skimmers lol almost but not quite but for the price they can't be beat!!

Well I guess it was to good to be true (I paid a friend of mine $10 bucks for it) any idea what the coralife skimmer cost and can it be used as a hang on?

well 10 bucks i would not complain about that. Hey i would get intouch with jason H.Crisps on here and and he will give you all the info for the mod it would be worth it if you only paid 10 bucks for it!

A corallife super skimmer can be used either hang on or in sump

Dude! ten bucks???!!! Keep that sucker and mod the crap out of it!!! If you really want rid of it, I'll be glad to take it off your hands for ten bucks! Really though, do the mods and it should be fairly decent. I am currently running 3 modded seaclowns on various tanks and they do a great job. Like countryboy said, go to the website and follow the directions on the how-to. A couple of pics are still missing but nothing critical. I keep forgetting to talk to Ron about that. Oh well.....

BTW, anyone want to volunteer their SS for a recirc mod???????? It can only improve performance and it's fairly cheap to do....... Any takers??????

I gave it back to him and went out a purchased a Coralife SS 65 today. It's not even broken in yet but WOW what a difference. Thanks the reccomendation.
