Seagrass Wrasse for my frag system? adult or juvi?

Patwa

if anyone asks, it's $10
Hi..

I am getting a wrasse for my frag system.....luckily for me, my LFS has lots of seagrass wrasses in stock....perfect!

Only question is whether I should go for a fully grown (4" to 5" long) or juvenile (2" to 3").

Would the large one just create too much of a mess? (e.g turning rocks and frags over looking for food, eating and pooping too much, etc)

I'm leaning toward the juvenile, but i've never seen such an amazing wrasse as the adult seagrass.....wow...i'd like to have him, but i dunno if my tank can accomodate him!

comments? which one should i go for? :D

The tank it's going in is a frag tank (85gal): 45"L x 22"W x 15"H

I would start a bunch of mangroves growing in that tank before adding a sea grass wrasse. It will do a lot better if its in a familiar setting. I read that they live around mangroves and sea grasses that they use for cover. Also I would always go with the juvenile it will probably adjust to captive conditions better.

yeah...i'm thinking juvy as well.......thanks for the responses! ....you're right....the young one will prolly be able to adjust a bit better than the adult.

Zach.
