i want to keep either kuda or barbouri, and i know that them being such slow feeders and only certain fish can be kept with them like Mandarins.... is their anyway that i can keep two clowns... or would i have to have another tank completly?

We put a tiny 1/4 inch clarkii clown (the runt, almost killed by his siblings) in with our seahorses thinking maybe if he grew up with them it would be ok. By the time he reached 1 inch he was territorial with the macro and aggressive with the horses.. out he went. Seahorse stress may not be obvious but it can open the door to disease and death, why take a chance?

I know someone that tried a pair of tiny ocellaris with horses, and it worked for a while. When they got bigger older, they got more aggressive (especially around feeding time), so they had to go.

Unless you find the perfect specimen that stays timid its whole life, I'd say no. But you never know until you try.

it's one of those things where it is usually not recommended but can happen though. i have a mated pair of ocellaris clowns in with 4 kuda's. they do fine together because the clowns don't like the mysis at all, they actually spit it out, they perfer flakes as well as pellets so it works out perfectly food wise. they are also real nice to the seahorses so that is why it works as well. not real terriortial, at least not yet.
