Seahorse feeding

Hello all :wavehand:, this is a bit early but I want to know if one of the Hikari mysis shrimp cubes would be able to feed two Erectus seahorses. I'm most likely going to get these SH's in about a month and a half and I was wondering if one cube would be able to feed two SH for two times out of the day. I tested out one cube on my 30 gal reef with about six small fishes and all of the fishes were full only with half of the cube. I think the Erectus SH's I'll be getting are about medium sized (3-5in) and they would be in a standard 29 gallon tank. Please post if you have any comments, questions or suggestions. Thanks! :strange:

i feed half a cube a day and theirs always a few left overs, so i think your good. also i see that ur in gurnee. if your willing to take the drive up here, peak has some of the best erecus anywere. and their relly cheep

It depends upon the horses, their size and age. I seen some H. erectus that a pair can consume up to a cube per feeding X 3 times a day. I would expect a pair to eat at least a half a cube per feeding.

Ok thanks guys :) I guess I'll wait till I get them and see they're eating habits. Any tips for my setup before I get the horses or just any general tips and things to watch out for? Thanks again!

We generally feed 1 cube per pair of adults per day, which is on the "light" side (since we don't feed multiple times), but we keep live macro in the DT and the SH hunt pods between meals.
