Seahorse Tank Going Up

We picked them up locally from Exotic Aquatics in Plano Texas
I understand they were ora CB's
You might find a local shop carrying ora products and look for the Reidi's

I have to say that ours have turned darker and fluctuate colors now. This morning they were very light and now thy are fairly dark.

Our second pair arrive this morning

well our LFS that was supposed to be holding them sold us out
so we are on the wait for new tankmates
oh well

For those of you who are following this thread... Thought I'd post a picture of what we woke up to this am... this is after we moved them to the "nursery." :)

2nd birth in 3 weeks time!

So they live in green water? Wow momma.

Yes! They are eating Phyto and live Rotifers that we are culturing. Will have to keep them in green water for quite some time.

yes, fish can live just fine in greenwater, which I have found out now ;) my tank did a crazy algae outbreak, and my fish are doing fine in greenwater.

just make sure to keep up the oxygen excange. Maybe people can do this for ill fish that can eat rots??? I don't know what would though, other than tiny fish...

ok, back to the regularily scheduled topic!

do you mean brood size as in number of fry? first brood was about 20 this one about 40

the size of the fry themselves was about the same 1/4 of an inch maybe

Well, they had their 3rd brood... exactly 2 weeks from the date of the 2nd brood of fry.

Except this time... ONE HUGE CRUNCH and He popped out close to 200 babies.

This was taken under the actinics this past Friday morning. :)
