hi i am noob to seahorses so i dont know the name but i can decribe. he/she is black with a yellow tail and he is about 4-5 inches big. i got him for free and he eats anything frozen mysis or brine really doesnt matter but the thing is that he was pitch black but there is a white spot on his back is that bad? also he turns really actually all white at night when the light are off and pitch black at night. is this normal? he eats well and that white patch is annoying me!

Can you post a pic? Get me one of the spot, a full body shot, and a close up of the side of the seahorses head. We'll answer a lot of questions for you just from that.

Which is it? Does he turn white or black at night? I'm confused.
