THe seahorse will probably bug the monti more then the other way around. The flow to keep the digi will probably bug the seahorse, but if you balance it very careful, you could do it IME.
I don't have a seahorse but was reading a bit about it heard you need to watch out for pointy object's but that said people do have them not sure who as long as you have no thrashing
current's where the seahorse would get thrown into the sps hard then you should be fine
the sps should be fine under gentle med flow imo not the preferred flow but will do quite fine imo
i plan on putting a few monitpora species in my sea horse tank. i think that as long as you have enough places for them to hitch up to or the coral is big enough the coral should be able to heal up. you can keep digitata in med flow areas it is just that their skeleton will not be as dense. i would try to put one in there that is not too fragile as they might be able to brake it off. good luck!
I see I was planning a few encrusting,cap's,digi's
any suggestion's on coral's as hitching post's or anything that would help keep the seahorse off the sps a bit like gorgonian
or something else that would look natural
My seahorses always pick a favorite spot to sleep. If they pick the SPS the SPS is not long for the world. The gorgs seem to do alright. Mine also like macro algaes and sinularia corals (very similiar to a colt). I have a few leathers that are also favorites. But IME since the orange digi was moved back to the reef the gorg is the favorite spot. Although the last two nights it's been the Tyree Long Polp Green Leather. So basically whatever I don't want them hitched to, is there new favorite hitch. My first seahorse loved the thermometer if that helps at all.
I had placed some fake silk aquarium plants for them to hitch on. They work real hard in knocking stuff over in the tank. They love hiding amongst the leaves on the plants. Just be sure the clean the plants regularly as they seem to foul-up quickly.
