For the first time in a loooong time we have seahorses in stock. Since they became CITIES listed, they have been real hard to come by, now is your chance if you want horses...

They are from the Gulf, just caught last night. They are 3-4 inch, mostly females, there may be some males, but you can not really tell at this age.

We have 25 in stock today. $20 each.....

Thanks

Since they are WC, I am feeding live ghost shrimp and live brine right now. Today is their first full day and all 4 are eating which is a very good sign.

After they are in for a while, I'll slowly switch over to frozen.

I'll keep ya posted on how they turn out. All look very healthy and have acclimated well to their new home. A 36 gallon flat back hex.

Just an update on the horses.

3 out of the 4 survived and are now eating frozen mysis on a daily basis.

They are growing well.

Nice horses, GREAT DEAL!!!!!!

Thanks again Richard

Thanks for the update Rockker. Did you switch from live to frozen mysis by mixing live with the frozen ? Also, what else, if anything, do you have in with the "horsies" (I can see the tree sponge and LR in your photos, but any other critters, corals or ??) ?

Thanks.

I have a bunch of hermits in there to eat up what they don't. Some snails and that's about it.

Yes, I'd give a bit of each until they couldn't tell the difference.

I might add a couple of spotted cardinals soon. They get along good. I need better lighting before I add any types of corals, but horsies are reef safe as long as the coral doesn't need high flow.

Zoos, mushrooms, stuff like that and of course horses need something to "hitch" on.

I have a floating thermometer and they LOVE IT!

2 at a time will grab and ride it around.

Great to watch them

Thanks for the reply
