I have a continuing battle with this IS 400 downdraft skimmer. Can someone recommend how to get the skimmer to make foam? I adjust the water level in the skimmer daily and wonder if I am doing something wrong. The company went out of business apparently and I have never been able to find any instructions for it. The skimmer has a vertical output pipe which I placed a valve on to be able to control the level of water in the cylinder. Without this valve, the water level was at the bottom and the foam never reached the collecting cup. With the valve, I try to keep the water level high enough (just below the collecting cup) so that the foam is closer to the collecting cup but it still barely produces any foam. What am I doing wrong, or is there some other adjustment I need to make with the skimmer?
