Sealife Systems Skimmer

I have an older model and have had it for several years I modified it with a gate valve. I am still not happy with the skimmate I produces. Any thoughts on how to make it more productive?

I have a Sealife 150 as well and just tried putting a mag 7 with a Kent Venturi on it, and my advice is not to go that route...that mag would not work with the venturi, and without it (since the skimmer has a downdraft venturi) would overflow the body pretty quickly. You could possibly put something like a mag on it and dial down the flow with a valve, but I dunno...

Another option I read about was using a needlewheel in the pump...
