seasons greeting disease?

I bought a season greeting back in April, and the coral was growing great, but suddenly the coral started to get pink spot on the green base. As time went by the pink base spreaded. Only new growth is green, but after awhile, the pink spread to the new growth. Red Polyp continue to come out and it continue to grow. Just wondering why the pink base is continue to spread. My tank have other sps ( red planet, ice fire, pink lemonade, purple cap, neon green cap.) Everything is growing great, even the season greeting, but this pink base is ugly. Any advice would be grateful. Thanks

What lights are you running and how close to the surface is the monti?

Look at the PE difference on the sunset, wow....in my tank the montis seem to be my canarys which is weird because you think the acros would be the ones to be most sensitive but my montis always let me know something is up.....

I'm running Reef Breeder lighting at 7' inch from the water. The tank is a 30 cube with 20 gallon sump. The montipora is about 21 inch away from the light. All my Acros have awesome polyp extension. The seasons greetings is the only one with issue. The coral continue to grow, but the pink base continue to spread. Its weird, I might have to take it back to my friend and trade for another green one.

It looks like it could be a color shift.

I also have something similar. Mine was about the size of loonie, all nice and green with red polyps. It has now tripled in size the middle turning red.

I had a Jedi Mind Trick do this, did you frag or remove anything nearby that might have blown over the top? I think mine was hit with pally poison when I tried to remove a few, it was the only monti to suffer and it looked like the top was melted, but it stayed alive.

I'm certainly not expert, but I do have 2 frags of this monti. I also have a 40B with 2 165W led fixtures above it. My seasons greeting frags got burnt when I first placed them in the tank. However, mine turned more white and the burnt part eventually had tissue loss. They were placed about midway in the tank. I put them at the bottom for a couple months to recover. I have since been moving them up slowly. It seems that this monti is a bit more sensitive to light than others. They now seem to be tolerating the light without major problems. One frag is slightly higher than the other. The higher one has much less color. Again, I'm no expert, just my 2 cents on this coral. Perhaps others can give more a definitive answer.

When first got the frag, it was acclimated from the bottom, then slowly move up the the mid tier. It was green for awhile, then slowly a pink patch started, and spread over a period of time. The new growth is green, but after awhile the pink spread over the green. Full polyp extension on the SG. Maybe he just one of those weirdo coral. Oh well. I might frag a part of the new growth and see if it continue to grow green.

Maybe, but so weird how all my other SPS look super colorful, but only this one coral is being weird.
