Seaswirl ?: Can you use a 1 inch seaswirl with a 3/4 inch return?

I have a 3/4 inch return from the sump. Can I use a one inch seaswirl on this (using a 3/4 inch to 1 inch adaptor from the return to the seaswirl) or do I need the 3/4 inch seaswirl? I have the Eheim 1260 for the return from the sump, the set-up is for a 90g reef and I have Tunze 6060 and two MJ 1200s, I'm looking to randomize the flow. Thanks in advance!

I think you can use a 1" seaswirl but I don't see any advantage to not using the 3/4". Since the restriction is in the pipe, I don't think the 1" would give you more flow. It would likely give you a little gentler and wider flow. Both are in stock.
