Seaweed feeding tips

Show some pics of how you fed your seaweed so it does get ripped apart and get stuck in the overflow :)

I rubber band it to a small Mag-Float with a thick rubberband. Like the ones they rubberband the lobster's claws with at the super market. If I use anything thinner my Tangs destroy the rubberband in 2 Days lol.

No pix, but hope you get the idea. I take a 4x4 inch of seaweed and fold it in half and then in half again to made something the size of 1" x 2". Then I clip that onto a regular veggie clip and put it into the water. The extra layers being held by the clip makes it tougher to pull out chucks of seaweed that get's stuck in the overflow.

It helps to try different brands of nori. Some fall apart in the water while others are so tough that my large angels can't pull it off the clip.

I just throw in an 8x7 sheet in and it lasts maybe 20 seconds. No need to clip in my tank. They're like a pack of wolves!

Agree and there are some my tangs just dont touch. I use a clip

I use Ocean Nutrition (green, brown, red) and Julian Sprung's green/purple/red--looks, feels and smells like chewing tobacco!

I cut 2x3" squares of all and put one of each back to back and fold them so about 1/2-3/4 of an inch is below the clip and some sticking out the sides. After that's eaten down (not long!) I take the part in the clip and turn it so that the majority of it is hanging--the several plies make it last.

ALL my tangs, butterflies, and rabbit fish eat these sheets fast. The wrasses and damsels also like the "crumbs" that float their way!
