I guess it will be a long time before Seaworld makes the switch from halide to led's. That actually looks like they hauled the Seaworld complex next to the South Pacific and installed a window. Beautiful and so natural. Thanks for sharing.

I've seen it before, and if I remember right, I believe the top of the reef is exposed to natural sunlight. I would think that would make most sense, nothing like the real thing.

Nice. I just went to SeaWorld Cali for my honeymoon in Oct and they dont have any reef tanks that nice. All pretty basic with softies and some LPS.

If you think that is impressive. You should make the travel to Tampa for the Tampa Bay Aquarium. They have roughly 3 or 4 larger reef tanks and 8-10 sub 200 gallon tanks. I was very very shocked at the time you can spend in there.

I have seen that reef in Sea World. I think I stood there for a half hr before my gf got mad and we moved on. Its the nicest reef tank I have ever seen. And I have seen a lot of the big ones (Penn State, Atlantis Long Island, Georgia Aquarium, etc.)

Only practical light source to sustain a tank like that and of that size has to be the sun!

I only live a few hours away..looks like I will be going there real soon...

I was not impressed at all with the Reef tank at Georgia Aquarium, it was large but not very many live coral and they had a bunch of fake ones mixed in there..however their other tanks are amazing

My girlfriend and I spent most of a day at the Tampa Aquarium. No there knew about the reef tanks, but were cool enough to show me a fish room when I asked. If I remember correctly there wasnt that much SPS, but plenty of LPS. I was hoping to meet the caretaker but that person only goes in occasionally for maintainance.

I'll have to add Orlando to the list.
