Sebae Anemone: Dye job or not?

At first I was leaning toward dye job but that would be pretty difficult to target dye just the center or it could be dyed and its losing its color.

I am thinking dye job. Wait a couple of weeks and see what it looks like then. If it's faded to white, then you will know. BTW, the dye typically fades from different sections of the anemone at different times.

very interesting.....saltwaterfish.com has pink orange and yellow sebae's....they all look to bright to be normal....I think they are all dyed as well as yours....I had a bright yellow one...did great for a month or 2 then slowly started dying.....dont be surprised if it doesnt survive. dyed anenomes usually dont live long,,,,

By the same token, lots of people see them regain their zooxanthellae and become healthy inhabitants. Give it great conditions and time.

It looks to me like a Heteractis Malu....One coloration that is a little harder to come by than the others. I had one a few years back before I traded it.

Two other people that I know of have or had this anemone at one point, and thats Tom-Kat and xenon.

I have the yellow and green mix at the moment.

Pretty damn cool.

I'm skeptical but I'd proly buy it just to see what happened provided its not at too much of a premium.

If there is someone as you say who has a mature version of this I'd like to see it no matter what name it's going under.
