Sebae Anemone question

I recently purchased a 3" Sebae Anemone for my LFS. I have your standard 45 gallon reef tank with 50 lbs of live rock, an oversized skimmer and about 1100 gallons an hour of water flow form a Little Giant 3-MDQX-SC. I also have 200w of light - 2 atentic and 2 10k floresents. The tank fat, only 15" tall to maximize light penitration because I knew I could not afford an metal halide.

The Sebae will not attach to anything in my tank, and I am always finding it upside down or spinning in circles. I have nice hole in my live rock the perfect size for it, near the top, but when I put it in there, it shrivles up. I assume the light is too intense near the top.

Sitting at the bottom of my tank it inflates, eats well and looks good, but I am afraid it won't get enough light and it still will not attach to the sand bed or to the flat rock I put underneath it. It appears to be inching toward the glass, but I'm not sure.

I put a piece of acrylic in front of it to block the current, thinking that this may be the problem. I did this also so it doesn't get blown around the tank. But, even just a trubo snail passing by seems to blow it over on its top.

Any ideas?

find a spot next to a piece of live rock that has med-low flow and good lighting.....dig a hole in the sand as big as the nem and all the way down to the bottom. Plop him down into the hole and brush the sand in around him.....this worked for my 2 sebaes and a LTA...good luck

Following your advice, I dug a hole in the sand and covered it up, but it shrivled up again. It really freaks me out when it does that.

So, I dug another hole and moved it over about 6 inches. When I left this morning it was still in its new hole was looking good. I hope it is still doing well when I get home tonight.

Changing subjects...

Now what can I do to get my 2 clown fish to settle in to the anemone. I read one thread that advised using a decoy model of a clown fish. Another thread said to trap the fish in box with the anemone so they have no choice but to cuddle up.

What do you think?

Came home tonight after work, and it was floating in the water again. Oh, well. I put it in the sand once more an put two small rocks on either side. Maybe this will help hold it down some. I still don't understand why it doesn't grab something with its foot.
