hello i have a seabae anome that was redish brown when i got it 4 months ago and now has turned all white completly. i feed him whole silversides and scollops. tank is a 50 breeder with 150 watt halide and 120watt pc he is not directly under the light but gets a good amount of light where he is settled. could he be getting to little light or mayby to much could it be the food? he is hosted by a pair of clarki clowns.

I doubt that it was the lighting or food. I sounds as though something else has stressed the anemone until it has bleached. Check water quality, temp, etc. Have any of them changed dramatically? Any of these stressors could have caused bleaching. Also, how often were you feeding the anemone?

well i feed him twice a week 2 to 3 silversides or 2 to 3 scallops i try to mix it up, all test have been good so far everything in tank is doing great this includes leathers, polyps, clams and hard coarls. he looks good and eats great but just lost color clowns can be a little rough on him that coud be stressing im sure. anomone is about the size of my whol hand a liittle wider so hes god size for the clowns.

With the anemone being bleached, it would not be a problem to step up your feeding regimen. Every other day would be a good starting point for your sebae. You may even want to consider separating the clowns. If a clown is causing any discomfort, stress, or what appears to make the anemone close, then it is too large for the anemone.

I have had a seabae for over 5 years and I never target feed it. I donââ"šÂ¬Ã¢"žÂ¢t think they eat that much in the wild.

I think there is enough light in your tank.

see i dont want to over feed and pollute tankbut i guess ill try a liillte more to start with. see how that goes if still bad ill seperate from clowns. when i feed anomone i keep clowns away till done, seems to help a little.

really wow i guess if they eat them its not really a prob, ill step it up a liithe. its eating right now...
