Sebae clown aggression levels

Hey guys,
I am wondering how aggressive sebae clowns are. Are they a member of the clarkii complex?

I have a breeding pair of occ's, im due to move my tank over to a newly set up 200g tank.
Of course i am keeping the occ's but want to add a second pair.
I am aware its not advised but have done it before without problems, though that was in a 300g with a pair of toms and a pair of saddlebacks.

I was thinking of saddlebacks as the second pair as these have aways been really nice and peaceful for me, but have the chance at getting a pair of sebae's and really like them, will they be just too aggressive? Should i stick with the saddlebacks as the second pair?

They're part of the saddleback complex, are rather skittish, disease prone and are not particularly aggressive IME.
If you insist on mixing pairs, make them look as different as humanly possible and stick to the less aggressive complexes. IE stay away from tomato, marroon, clarkii and skunk complexes.


I would set up a quarrantine tank at SG 1.009 with no liverock, sand or other absorbant media, and no activated carbon.
Have some Formalin III on hand. I would dose twice the base dose for the first two days and every other day for the remainder of the first week. Longer if you see symptoms. Dont let them out of that system until 28 days past the date you introduced them or the first day they are symptom free.
Keep them at about 76 degrees the whole time they're in quarrantine and give them some plastic decorations to hide in.
Also have some Amquel Plus on hand to keep the ammonia down.
