This is too weird. I keep having fish going missing. In the last two months, I have lost a 3" Bellus angel, a 3" hippo, a 3-1/2" diamond goby, and a 3" fairy wrasse. I have only a few small blue-legged hermits, no emeralds, no sally lightfoots, no whelks... I'm not seeing any carcasses around, and my skimmer - which I tend to run wet anyway - isn't really producing any more foam. My NO2 is 0, and NO3 is 5-10. I'm just guessing my anemone is getting my fish (though they seem pretty big relative to the anemone) may be eating the fish swimming too close... Any thoughts?

Thanks,
dave

Check the back of your tank. They may have jumped out and have been dead behind your tank for a LONG time. Ewww. I check everytime I don't see a fish, but they rarely jump. I have only had 2 fish and 1 eel jump out. But yah, check.

I have seen a 5" RBTA catch and eat a yellow tang - and it didn't seem to be too much of an effort either. As I recall, it split about two weeks later.

if I do have a mantis, he's evaded detection for nigh on a year... I've not seen anything behind tank or in the stand... I have had a couple of firefish take a header that I later found.
