Sebae Under T5s

Looks like a very healthy anem, did it attach in the place that you wanted or did it move around? How did you place it, make a hole or just put it on the rock?
I wouldn't be concerned about feeding it for a couple of weeks--after acclimating fully.

Good looking anemone, usually H. Crispa are always bleached when I see a "help my anemone thread".

Wrott he attached to the place right next to where i placed him. I dug a small hole kinda thing for him in the same and he moved about 2 inches to the left and went inside of a rock and has stayed there since. Im pretty sure he ate a silverside yesterday.

lol lougotzz yeah i am hoping i never have to post something like that. He is looking very good and he responded today when i fed mysis, im not sure if he ate it but he was trying to i think.

Hey guys the anemone is doing great!

Now im trying to focus on getting my clown to host it!

He is tank raised and is a 1in misbar ocellaris, I have tried to put up a picture of another clown in an anemone and it didnt work.

Should i try and push him towards it at night or put a video near the tank, of a clown in an anemone lol?

Does anyone have any suggestions???????

yes, get more powerful lights, try feeding PE mysis, and be patient with the hosting. I had mine in the tank for over a year before my pair of occelaris clowns decided to finally move in

I'd try better bulbs before going after a new light fixture. My crispa is under 4T-5 with no problems after switching out the Current bulbs for good ones

I have brand new bulbs and im not having a problem with my anemone. he seems to be doing fine now. I guess i should post my Q in a new thread about the clowns. But i do plan to get nicer bulbs onces these are at their max

yes 2 are not needed, i just happened to have a pair already, it just takes some time for them to think about moving in, mine really liked hanging out in the xenia, then one day one was in, and the following morning the other came, and I don't believe I've seen them more than 6 inches away from it since

Be patient -- the clown may or may not take to the anemone. I would definitely NOT manually force the clown into it. It is usually a cautious process with the clown "getting to know" the anemone.

It just takes time, I picked up my sebae yesterday and i love it! Even better, before i went to bed i checked the tank, and my juvi grade B picasso was hosting him.

Now my occ. pair has been ignoring my GBTA in another tank for a looooong time. It's really up to the clown. Hosting is in their instinct, so when he's ready he'll start.

There was thread on this section about putting a picture of a clown hosting in anemone where the clown sleeps and one by the anemone. A few people has said this works for them.
