Second Annual Coast to Coast Sand Trade!

Hey Folks. The following members are getting sand shipped to them today:

38 cups of sand.... phew... I was up late....

Update on the sandbed:

LOTS of amphipods - ungodly amounts of them!
copepod population (although still significant) has lessened slightly.
worms (particularly spaghetti worms) are multiplying very quickly.
Lots of bristleworms
Snail babies by the boatload.
Snail eggs by the boatload
Microscopic viewpoint is amazing! Wish I had a camera that would attach.
 
So James,
When you going to start the selling part? I'd like to try and get a few more cups then if possible.

As for my sand I got, I see a lot of movement in the sand. Don't know what it is but it's moving the sand all around. I also see some black/dark colored worms in the sand that I didn't have before. Maybe bristles? I had the red spagetti worms by the butload alreaady.
 
Looks like early June until I clear out what's left of the trades.

With the delays from my vacation and business trips, it's been dragging out a little bit.

Sorry for the long wait.
 
That is cool, I definatly will want some sand, I even have a nice zoo frag with Jamesurq written all over it.
 
I wasn't able to get in on the trade deal, I just recently set up two saltwater tanks 2 months ago.. I'd like 2 portions of this sand when you decide your going to sell some..

James - I have not been following this thread very close. I thought my sand was being shipped out at the end of April. I can be wrong, maybe it was the end of June.. Im not sure.. I just didnt want you to forget about me. I know you have A LOT going on..

I forgot to mention, I got the sand on Tuesday. Package was a little wet but all is good. I see some pods and whatnot in there.

I saw a spagetii worm on the inside of the bag, hope it had buddies with him. Other than that I just had a huge sand storm but well worth it :) Thanks, I liked the painters tape, must have ran out of the sticky clear type at about 2:00am on my box. Box a little leaky but in good shape. Thanks!
 
Thanks James. I got my sand today and I can hardly wait to see what pops out of it. This was very generous of you to put this together. When the history of reefkeeping is written, you deserve a place in the book. Please put me on your list for future trades.

Mine came today! Added it to the a 100 gal refug on one tank and directly in the tank on my small tank. Will watch to see what starts showing up.
