Second group of fish....

My first group of fish( 2 clowns and 2 chromis ) made it out of TTM and is going for 2 more weeks into QT. It is time to start TTMing some more to add live to my tank.

Thinking in getting 2 Banggai Cardinals and 2 Azure Damselfish...what is your opinion?...would they also get along during TTM and QT?

Setup:
- TTM: 7G plastic buckets
- QT: 10G tank

I do have some PVC for hiding.

Thanks!

Clowns, chromis, and damsels are all in the same family. I would expect trouble if not right away, then certainly down the road as they grow.

How big is your tank?

I'm not a fan of banggi, they look ugly to me, but to each his own. lol

I would be careful adding to many damsels. Can create issues later, and if you gotta get one out, well you'll have to do a tear down. You'll wan to add the aggressive fish last also. So if you want to add a azure or two, do it last.

Just a thought: It might be visually appealing to move away from keeping all species in pairs, and start keeping some singly or in trios or in small groups, depending on the species and their dynamic/behavior.

Good luck.

Agree...I had 4 chromis...uh...two passed in the first two days :sad1: of TTM, didn't turn quick enough at my learning curve.

Considering replacing the damsel for a Leopard or Valentini puffer following advice given here.
I've read they like to eat invertebrates..is my CC at risk then?

Well...disregard. I kept reading and it does seem that puffers are a real threat to my CUC and I already got a connection to them (first and only inhabitants in my tank yet). Geez, it has been hard to find the next batch of fish for my tank.:fun5:

Have you considered a dwarf angel?

Lemonpeel or coral beauty?

flasher wrasse are nice too, just need to make sure you have a lid of some kind on the DT as they like to catch air once in a while
