Tank had been a tad neglected so some coral are recovering but overall it is a beautiful tank.

I added a few switches in a tupperware "project box" that I eventually plan that mount. Emergency stop, sump light, and pump stop switches for now. Just wired in a couple float switches for high and low level alerts tonight, haven't programmed them yet.

Now that the tank is set up and mostly settled I want to make some livestock adjustments.

For one I am concerned that the tank may be a bit too cramped for the yellow tang as I know a 4 foot 90 gallon is borderline for size requirements. Still on the fence about rehoming him.

Otherwise I would like a clown pair, green clown goby, and yellow clown goby as they are some of my favorite fish. Clowns I haven't decided on a species for yet. I do have two snowflake ocellaris in another tank.

Ive also considered a dragonet of some kind but I know wrasses are pod decimators. I do have a bbs feeder like Paul B's in another tank and would add one to this tank if I wanted any kind of pod eater in the tank. Ive actually been considering putting the feeder on some kind of dosing pump but I am still playing with that idea.

Finally, I did add two peppermint shrimp to the tank the other day. Ive been fighting an aiptasia problem in the tank, lots of aiptasia X but I still have a lot to kill and pepermints have worked for me in the past. Haven't seen the shrimp since the night I added them.

Any suggestions on stocking or comments are welcome.

Spent some more time nuking aiptasia with Aiptasia X. The bottle is older and I am wondering if it is still good because the aiptasia are not reacting like I have seen them do before. I wish I could get some berghia nudibranches but I am sure the wrasses would take then out.

Coral and fish still seem to be doing well. Got a couple SPS from a club member to try out a week ago. They look OK to me.

Bought a red sea marine test kit. Wanted to get a feel for my levels. Tested the big 3 to see if the post move cycle was still going on.

Ammonia: 0
Nitrite: 0.1
Nitrate: 40

Somewhat concerned about the nitrite but the nitrate I expected. Now I am trying to decide what I want to so first. I would like to add a good light and grow some chaeto in my refugium but I am also considering one of those marine pure blocks. I am planning to do both eventually but trying to pick one to add first. Any advice?

I would do the chaeto first. You'll see faster results with immediate nutrient export with the chaeto. It will take a significant amount of time before you see the benefits from the marine pure block.

Thats what I was thinking. Nice part is I already have chaeto growing in another tank. Just gotta pick a refugium light.
