Sedra 3500 pump question

Hello all! I bought a used ASM G-2 from a guy on e-bay. Needless to say, the pump came in with a broken rod in the impellar.
My question is this- How can I get it out?! I have tried to get the impellar out, but it seems as though it is stuck in there. Any ideas? I tried using pliers, but stopped so as to not cause any further damage.
Thanks in advance for any help! -Adam

I have the same setup. If it spins, it is not stuck..rather the magnet is holding it in.
Needlenose pliers will grab it or you can just knock it out by holding the pump and banging it into your other hand to knock out the impeller.

Hope this helps,

Jeff
