Seeding Dry Rock with Prodibio?

I recently ordered a box of dry rock from Bulk Reef Supply. I'm hoping to avoid using existing live rock to seed the dry rock. I can't seem to find a nice, clean piece of live rock at any LFS. I don't want to deal with the nuisance algae, aiptasia, vermetid snails and the like.

I'm wondering whether Prodibio would effectively seed the dead/dry rock. Obviously, I won't have any coraline or fauna in the tank, but I'm not sure that will be a problem as these life forms will come in on frags and frag bases.

Are there any foreseeable problems? Lack of biodiversity etc?

When I say I'm unable to find a clean piece of live rock, I mean every piece I see being sold is disgusting and poorly stored.

I did the same thing (started my 2nd reef with entirely dry base rock) I only seeded the tank with a SMALL hadfull of sand from a prior tank.

On another note, you will find that you cannot avoid introducing some bad things to the tank.. spores from algae, etc.. will eventually hitchhike in on frags, fish, chaeto, etc.. but if you keep up on your maintanence you should have no problem.
