Seio Polario

This one isnt.....

Not saying you dont have the problems with yours, but I dont hear what you're describing. Jeremy doesnt hear what you are describing either....

Steve could most certainly be getting some noise. I found another peson online a few months ago that mentioned the same thing on it. I'm going to take one home tonight out of the box and test to see what it's like.

I got it home, but unfortunately didn't get a chance to hook it up. Our newborn was being quite the little cranky one last night! :) I'll get it going tonight and post back here.

I did! I ran the smaller one last night at home, and honestly it really wasn't loud at all. I got a VERY slight hum to it, but my system is dead quiet, and I could hardly hear it. I made sure that the tv was off, and no other noise was around me in the house.

Thank You Jeremy for testing the smaller one. However it is the larger 22ML that I believe has the problem. Please take one of these home and test.
Thank You,
Steve

I have not had a chance to test the larger one yet. I will try and get that done either tomorrow night or Wednesday night. I'll report back here as soon as I know something.

Yes, tested last week and it ran just fine, with very minimal noise. I would actually say it was quieter than the 15 that I tested.

Hey Jeremy, I just set up my 22ML I purchased this afternoon from you guys. It's in a 125 Megaflow (dual overflows) that is planned to be SPS dominate. I've got it changing directions every 60 seconds. It's relatively quiet, won't interfere with watching TV and it's right next to the couch. I am thinking about adding a second 22ML because it just doesn't seem like the kind of flow I was expecting. Still good flow and I love the fact that it is controllable and quiet.

Thanks!

Hey Kevin, do you have it turned all the way up? Of course I have always ran these in shallow tanks, ~ 12" or so. In something that is deeper like a 125, you might want to keep a 22ml up high, them maybe do another 15ml down lower on the back wall behind the rock work.

It's about midtank right now. I haven't finished the aquascaping yet so there's no telling how that will impact the flow. I've got it at max flow and I would say it would likely be fine for softies & lps, but I'm not convinced it will keep sps happy. I think we're going to go with another 22ml just in case one ever fails. I figure I can just crank them both down if it's too much flow.

I'm definitely getting dead spots in the corners because of the flow deflecting off of the overflows. I might have to drop a maxijet back there to keep the corners moving. I've also thought of trying to mount a polario on each overflow, but I'm not sure that will work. I'm also concerned that as strong as the magnets are they might crush the two walls of the overflow together. On the positive side the 22ml is much quieter than the 4 Sureflow MJs it replaced and my sand isn't getting blown away near as bad. I'm pretty sure that even another 22ml won't make it near as loud as the Sureflows.

They provide excellent back and forth water movement for a pretty good price versus the amount of flow they are pushing. We currently have both sizes in stock.
