Seio`s Multicontroller

One question - have you ever owned a Seio, or are all your claims here about issues from others experiences?

No I do not own a SEIO. Decided not to buy one after I did research into them. Too much of a hit or miss. Geez... When all of your pals have SEIOs and they all have problems, what would you do? Go and buy one too?

Please dont take this the wrong way, but whenever anything gets mentioned about Seios, there you are, chomping at the bit to reccomend the Maxi-mod. Yes, it is an amazing mod, I have one myself, however, this thread was created as an announcement of the Multicontroller, NOT a debate as to whether or not Seios or the Maxi Mod is better. And this isnt the first time either, it seems that whenever anything (good or bad) is said about the Seios, you jump down and pretty much tell everyone that the Maxi-mod is the way to go, which, if you have some DIY skills and DONT already have a Seio, is a good choice, however, many people already do have the Seios and it'd be pretty wasteful to attempt to sell the seio in order to change to the Maxi mod.

And if you noticed... I never said this controller was a bad thing. Infact I think it would be great for my maxijet mods. Beats having pay out big bucks for a Tunze controller IMO. And one doesn't NEED to own a SEIO to know how well or not it performs. I don't own a Tunze either but I do know how they work and why people like them.

No one is telling you to sell your SEIO and DIY a maxijet but if you have read any of the comments I have posted on these threads you would have seen that I listed ALL available options for flow from CLS, Tunze, Vortech, SEIO, to Maxijet-mod. Each option has its good and bad points. BTW.... It would take very little to turn that SEIO into an awesome pump but I digress.

I never claimed to say you said the controller was a bad thing, but EVERY post you have in this is leading to the conclusion that Seios are not good pumps. First one said "a more reliable pump". Then about power going out, then a "better pump", and then talking about how they are hit or miss. This isnt about who has had problems with the pump, this is about the controller. There are plenty of other "lets bash Seios" threads out there.

ok so where's some more info on the things, i need one now. also would like to know the technical info on them too, as someone mentioned earlier how the modify the juice

oh and another thing, why isnt taam posting on here, if they are wanting to seriouisly get into the market on this stuff then they need to show some customer service or atleast have someone that can answer some questions, also will end most of the hear say as we all know how accurate some of it is

I love my seios. Don't know why anyone wouldn't. Ive got two 620s and they work great. No problems with them yet. I'm thinking about order some other sizes of seios for all my tanks. They outbeat maxi-jets by a mile.

I have to agree with you. I have 2 m820's in my 75G and have never had one problem with them. I plan to get 2 m620's for my wife's 55G and I am very interested in this controller. If it's reasonable I may get one for my tank and one for the wife's!

this may have been asked already but i wounder if you can controll the pumps individually our if they both go up and down at the same time?

I like my SEIO's. I've got the 620, 820 & 1500. My 1500 has worked flawlessly. However, I have had startup problems on my 620 & 820. After servicing them for routine maintenance they wouldn't start back up without a LOT of finageling (sp?). They did eventually restart be it was a headache.

I will be getting a controller and hopefully things will work out fine.

What I saw was the two pumps went up and down at the same time.

In my new tank I plan to use 4 x SEIO 2600 on 2 SEIO controllers which will be :bum: smoken.

Even if the two controllers may cost me more the overall price will be less than whats out there now.

Whats is good about these controllers is lets say a pump does break or I need to clean two of them at the same time,I just have to swap them with any pump I have around as a temporary fix.:D

I'm excited about this product. any ballpark guesses of what it will cost?

I'd say around $150. Give or take $50 bucks. But I have not read or heard this anywhere. Just my guess.

My guess would be in the $200 $250 range +/- $50.

Disclaimer: I know nuthin'!

I have both a MJ mod and 2 seio 820's. I prefer the Mj mod for mixing my salt. It does flow more but it flows harder too, and less dispersed. And I can not turn it down like the seio's. I can't aim it either easily. So I really don't see them as being better.

But I am excited about this. As a worker at a store that won't stock Tunze (poop) products and only special order them, it will be nice to see these. I do think there should be reversed polarity on the control ramp. I will not pay for having both pumps go the same time. unlike the commenter above, I do not think this is still worth it. But we'll see in an month.
