Seio`s Multicontroller

Reefneck.

Any noise from the pumps on start-up?

I've heard that a "clacking" sound can be a problem.

Also corrected my post above to include the quote from the ad re-wavemakers.

I do get a slight "chatter" from one of them but not from the other. It's not a problem at all and my wife sleeps 3 feet away from the tank. She's a light sleeper too and it does not bother her.

Sigh -- Seio has taken too long. I had a practically brand new 1500 split it's magnet tonight.

I bit the bullet and bought a new Vortech. At this point I dont care what Seio comes out with any longer. :(

isnt that the tunze stream nano?

definitly not a taam product. but it is totaly kick *** from what i hear

most of them can be used on a regular tunze controller

Yeah... I threw it in because its been getting some mention here. I myself am going to get a few of them... I can tell you right now. Im gutting a couple tanks for them, and going from closed loops with eheim 1262's and such to these. They are so tiny. The 6055 can do up to 1500gph...!!! Thats ginormous considering the size. Im thinking three of them on a multicontroller across two tanks should do the trick. And at up to 1500gph, they are large enough to do larger tanks as well. But the two non-DC ones are still wave timer compatible... so rock-on TUNZE! Those mounts alone (Ive seen that shroud/mount design used on little desk fans as well) are what did it for me...waaay better than SEIOs crappy mounts.

From this picture, it looks like all they did it do a 'stream mod' to their DC powerheads, and just make a cool ball shroud for it to sit in.

Im ready, waiting, money in hand for these buggers...

Is anyone aware of the maximum glass thickness that the 6025's magnets can handle?

Try the Tunze forum. :)

only the 6055 can be used on the controller, I think. It is about $50 less than a 6000. When I spoke with Roger Vitko, he recommended dual 6000's on my SPS dominated 90 rather than the controllable nano streams. The 6000s can be upgraded to 6100s by changing the transformer, which means I can move them to a bigger tank if I ever go that route. It's gonna take me a while to save up the $ to do this, but that is my plan for now.

I would do that as well, but in my case, having two small balls in the corners will look much better than two full sized streams.

Yeah, I like the small size and the shape. The nano streams are definately less obtrusive and more asthetically pleasing than their big bro's.

Oh, BTW, the 6055 is the only one that can be used on a controller, true, but the other two can be used on a regular wave timer like a tsunami or natural wave. So its a toss up.

If you go that route (lesser unit with a garden variety wave timer), then I'd be very interested to see how well it works in practice. I may go that route myself as I can use my AC Jr. to control them and I could by a whole stable of them for the price of 2 regular streams + the 7095.

just to clarify the 6025 and 6045 cannot be used on normal wavemakers/timers (like the tsunami, red sea, natural wave). They must be used on something like an aquacontroller. 5 minute intervals is the minimum with 15 minutes being the recommended.

1/2 inch glass.

I'm not holding my breath for that price....

something about counting chickens before they hatch and all

If this is correct, it should be $105 in the US...now I understand it may be a little higher due to import cost, but a little more affordable then first talks.

Mike

What conversion rate did you use? I calculated about $154 before shipping, if I bought it from that website.
