Is it true that both pumps get the same output? Turning the pumps up and down at the smae time seems a little pointless to me.

yes it's true

Are you completely sure, I've heard that you can select different programs meaning different outputs on each one, night mode, feeding mode, etc.

Even if they do operate up and down together....it could be useful using different angles that the pumps would face. You are looking for chaotic flow anyways. I added a red sea wavemaster pro...one of the best additions for me for chaotic flow. I currently run three seios and welcome the opurtunity to ramp them up and down even if it is the same pumps at the same time. I plan on getting one to try it out. Have tried the mj mod....went back to the seios. Only my opinion and preference.

Why would you buy a controller for a pump that is not worth a crap. If you are thinking of ordering one of these just send the $100+ to me and it will cause you less of a headache. Adding crap to crap does not make a good product.

Nice. I guess whatever works for you. There is nothing wrong with the seios. TAAM has come along ways from the old pumps that melt down. And yes 15 years ago I had one melt down. Other manufacturers have had their share of problems as well.

Different modes yes but both pumps are ramped up and down at the same time or so I was told.

Maybe someone who already has one hooked up can confirm.
I'm still curious if this thing would work on my maxi-stream modded pumps though.

Perhaps ReefSalt can add since he is the only one that seems to have one right now.

Tell us what we want to know ye holder of the key...

HI Guys,

I am traveliing for tradeshows so not to offten on the boards to reply.
So far the units are solid, not as controllable as a Tunzie but for the price you cant go wrong.

I amusing 2 units with four pumps and have them hooked up so the left side ramps down, and the right side ramps up creating a surging motion.

Like mentioned before the pumps cannot be used on smaller SEIOS 620 and 820,but I am wondering that if its a power reason like 2 or 4 poles, what would be the effect if we ran two 620 or 820 off the same plug and the same for the other side??

Where to buy in the U.S well you should try contacting some of the sponsors here, they may have some.

I can't see it working at all with maxi-streams. If the power is reduced to the pump trying to slow it down, the prop is just going to stop (our try kicking into reverse) because its not going to have enough power to turn the prop under water. It would probably work out side of the water.

would of been nice though!

Honestly, its not like a Tunzie 7095 it controls the pumps, but to recreate the surging effect you would need to have 2 controllers.Nevertheless even with one ramping both pumps up and down simultaneously it still creates some nice chaotic flow patterns.

I also touched the units to see if they heat up alot and they are warm.

I wonder if u could hook up a pair of 620 seios on each plug (to bump up the total voltage) so that it could trottle down 4 smaller pumps.
