Separate 2 heads of green leather?

I got 2 heads of green leather on single frag holder, 3 months ago and they are growing nicely and gotten bigger. I am thinking they can grow better if I separate them. Or should I leave them alone?

Also, are they dangerous to handle by bare hands like Zoas are?

As far as i know, they shouldn't cause much of an issue to one another... But if it were me i think i'd separate them, as far has handling them, they are not 'dangerous' but i wouldn't handle them more then absolutely necessary :)

I'd wait for someone more experienced to chime in on the separating or not question :P

There shouldn't be a problem separating them. Leathers are pretty resilient. Are you going to cut one off the plug or try and break it?

I finally cut the 2 heads from the base using scissors and now have them attached to small rocks using rubber band (2 turns). They don't seem to be happy at all and quite recessed, almost like a wafer. How long does it take to get better? They were quite happy before fragging.

They both will be fine, just give it a few days. Did you iodine dip them after fragging? If not would be a good idea to do so, helps keep off any possible infection and promotes faster healing.

No iodine dip. I have coral revive but I forgot. It's almost 4 days and they have partial polyp opening. Hopefully they will be ok.

Sounds like they will be. The iodine is just a precaution against infection and it promotes healing in the flesh.
