Seperating a clown from its anemone

I found a great deal on black and white clowns that are hosting an anemone and was wondering since I am separating the two from one another, would the clowns be okay or would it cause them stress?

Since they host the anemone the whole time and rarely free lance swim I assume, would this be the part that may cause it stress or will they start to free lance swim once they settle down?

also, how will a mated black adn white clown do with a true percula?

The black and white clown that your looking at is more than likely an Ocellaris. Because of this its not a good idea to keep it with a Percula clown.

If you want to have a b&w and reg clown in the same tank its best to make sure both are Ocellaris.

Yeah they should be fine without a anemone. Have you thought of getting a anemone?

i have seen many people having both, i hope it isn't an issue as this guy is new -_-

i did have a clarkii and a reg clown and they got along great.

I'm guessing the clowns will eventually settle down and find something else to play in. This may be good or bad, depending on how tough their choice is.

People mix breeds of clowns all the time.
