Sept. Meeting Photos!

We had a very productive meeting as we finalized plans for the Frag Swap next weekend which looks to be a wonderful event. I am really looking foward to it having never been to a frag swap before.

Malissa and everyone that has helped her have really put some effort into this, and there are additional volunters needed for next week. If you have not already signed up to help please contact Malissa and put your name on the list.

There will be a table set up for new members to join and if you are one of the "old guard" that has not yet paid your club dues for the year they will be very glad to collect that as well.

Well here are the photos, and once agin I apologize for my pictures(but some of the quality is due to the subjects photographed and I do not mean the corals)

Marty aka Mako Shark won the neon green sarcophyton

Robin won the Koralia 2. (Well actually, she won the draw and we heard Bill saying "You want that blue box right there ... take that one!"

Vicki won a bottle of Magnesium supplement

Glover got some nice Sea Veggies that his fish will thank him for.

dzones (Dave) generously donated his $50 Reef Doctor certificate from MACNA to the club to include as a raffle prize at the frag swap.

The drawings are a fun part of the meetings! Any of you who have new or gently used (like someone might still want it) items that you'd like to donate, we'd be happy to add them to the drawings at the meetings. Coral frags seem to be appreciated, too if you'd like to share or pass some on the next meeting.

We just worked through the list of things you asked us to.

We agreed to have a sign in sheet at the front table with the ability for people to join or renew as they come in to pay for admission.

We agreed that new members who signed up and paid their membership would receive 10 raffle tickets.

My tasks were to contact the Commercial Appeal to try and get some coverage and to get the event insurance.

Jay and Vicki agreed to put something on the Craig's list events

Jay started the process to see if we could get more T-shirts made in time for the swap.

hmmmm.... BJ .... you were taking notes? What else did we cover?

Oh ... I remember another ... Glover offered to make a list/map of the tables to hand out and a large one to post so we could give a little more recognition to who bought tables.

Along with that, we agreed that you should receive recognition/promotion for your business, be included as a sponsor and take credit for all you do to make the frag swap work.
