September meeting

Well after looking at my poll and not seeing a whole lot of people that are not busy I have decided to go with the meeting on September 2nd and 3rd. Hope that will work for more of you than July or August. We have some time to figure out what we would like to do, I am thinking cook out, camping, reefing, horseshoes and maybe some volley ball. Anybody have other ideas? Hope a bunch can make it.

I think tank pics and videos would be cool so the club could have a kind of scrap book of member tanks

Kidding aside, if I don't end up having to work that weekend Ellen and I will attend.

Sounds good Ron, and ya never really know the neighbor might just do that he really likes to play. Ya bring whatever there should be plenty of room. Would be cool to get enough people for some volley ball.

Found out I had a week of vacation left so I now have the whole week of the 3rd off. (Don't worry Mike, we'll leave on Sunday!)

Ron very cool, no worries about leaving stay as long as you like I have to go to work on Tuesday night but it doesn't matter to me If someone wanted to make a vacation out of it there’s plenty of room. I ordered one of those blue torts yesterday so maybe it will be showing its colors by then. Maybe I will be able to clean some of the extra stuff out of my tank too. Looking forward to the meet also hope we get a nice turnout.

I'm not sure yet if we'll be coming for the camping. If nothing else hopefully at least I can make it for the meeting on the 2nd day. My husband's grandpa rents a cabin up in Minocqua every summer, and Sept. 2 is the last day of that.

Mike--maybe you can set a time for an "official" meeting on the 3rd, so whoever can't make it (or doesn't want to) for camping can plan on a meeting time. Maybe mid-late morning in case some people who camped don't want to stick around all day? Once it gets a little closer (or right away if you prefer) we can start a new thread and get it stickied, so the time, date, directions, details, etc are all listed in the first post, that way anybody who's interested won't have to wade through a whole bunch of posts to find the info they need, it will be there in the first one.

Nellie, sounds like a plan I am going to take vacation that week so I will be here from August 29 to September 4. So any day works for me Sunday sounds like a good day for the main munchin day but whenever anyone feels like showing up its just fine with me. I will start a new thread with the directions and stating that the 3rd will be the main meeting. I am thinking the fire pit will be going all weekend.

and what an awesome setup it is! Little chairs to sit back and drool in. My husband has to drag me out every time we go there. Mike, sunday morning works for me, would you like me to throw together a salad or dessert of some kind?

Ya Jess I figured that out the other day too. I have been trying to set something up for some time now and I think I will just keep it here and see what happens if only a few show up I will eat burgers for a month. :lol: But you never know it is a party!!:beer:
