Seriatopora Fell Into Sand

My seriatopora was knocked over recently and about 1/2 inch of the tip must have been buried because it no longer has any polyps on the tip. The rest of it looks fine. Should I cut the dead tip off or will it grow back into that part of the skeleton? Any help would be appreciated, thanks.

thats happened to me a few times, but i cut the dead tips off because once in a while I'd get some type of algae growing on the dead tips.

It just fell again and that tip broke off this time, so I guess I don't have to worry about it now. Also found the culprit, was a big mexican turbo who decided to climb up it for some reason...I will attach it to some rock tonight.

i get that a lot too. in the future just leave the bleached arm. mine always grows back. its actually bleached on one arm right now from too much flow, but slowly the pollops start coming back then it gets its pigment back. just my experience
