serious Duncan problems

Hi to all you Ducan Keepers. I was given one head placed it on some rock on the sand bed and it was doing really well, openned up everyday, good response to feeding. Over the last two weeks it has been closed up and I have notice a small hole appear on its stem?

My tank Para's are;

ALK 8.9
CAL 420
MAG 1395
TEMP 25.9 - 26.2C
SG 1.025-1.026

Any Idea's would be appreciated.

What fish and inverts do you have? Check at night, that Euphyllia looks a little close in the pic and could be sending out some sweepers during the night? Any change in lighting?

I only have two clownfish 2 shrimp and a few crabs. I’ve seen the shrimp dance on it a couple of times it will close up for a small amount of time the reopen. This has now been closed completely for 2 weeks. No really change to my lights, I have been increasing the intensity 5% each week to get where I want to be. I have seen a small hole appear on them stem.

I don't agree, I have mine in medium flow, it's fine.

Could definitely be sweepers, had the same situation. My hammer was too close.

Check it this evening and its dead no flesh in the stem.
