geez guys you are friggin killing me here. im sitting constantly reloading LA TRYING to get my hand on a regal angel(misbar to boot) and within what? 30 seconds? someone has aleady beaten me to it. ugh. you guys are gonna drive me to drinking. oh well, whoever beat me to it at least post pics when you get him home so i can drool in envy. maybe next time.
 
I've lost at that game before too. :) LA DD has marketing genius, it's like when ebay first came out and people were fighting it out in the last seconds of the auction. Keep looking, sometimes they have several of the same fish and put up a new one when the first one is taken.
 
I know this much, I spent 45 minutes clicking refresh every 30 seconds to get that fish. All ready logged in... When it popped up I clicked on add to basket, upgraded shipping to priority then clicked buy... it was gone! I was :mad2:

I have been waiting several months to get a regal from DD.


The misbar was sweet but It wasnt a yellow belly and I like those best so I will keep waiting... That was the second one in a week or two so I expect to see more soon. :)

yeah, im kinda partial to the yellow belly myself but i could have settled with an awesome misbar :D

I feel your pain, as I have been burned the same exact way. Even with express checkout, I have lost out on some nice fish and it angers and frustrates me to no end. I frequent Reef Hot Spot more since DD has become so frenzied. I get it is a great marketing ploy and drives business up for LA, but I am not fond of the Sneak Peek e-mails. (and yes I am bitter right now about the Regal, I was probably 1 of 100 people trying to buy it :lol:)
 
If you want to be a champion, hit refresh every 5 sec... and practice at least 15 min a day on checking out fish fast to improve your mouse speed.

It would be absolutely amazing if it's a yellow belly misbar regal for sure. And gone within 5 sec. Although this misbar is indicated from Vanuatu. A yellow belly misbar would have to come from Indian Ocean borderline Red Sea, I think. And the search continues...
 
I am half Asian, and I love the Shrimp chimps you showed.

I have a new Regal Angel from Bali and he is beautiful, I took my chance on it at my LFS because he just received it and it would not eat anything but he knew that I love the challenge. So he offered for $50 and got him home and now eats everything. I am so stoked because I have had super expensive Yellow belly Regal and they all died.

This one is going to live along time! YEAH he is my QY Tank right now though

Beautiful fish and good job on getting it to eat everything. :) A tip from my friend is "cover the tank."
 
Tell me about it. I tried for several months to get a Chevron Tang. Everytime one was up it would be gone as soon as I saw the pic. Got frustrated and ordered one somewhere else. Then of course....one was listed and stayed up for several hours.
