Seriously!?!

well thanks for the heads up on the regal on DD, unfortunately i was out of town and had no way of picking it up :( they seem to be coming up more often now though so i'll hopefully get another shot here soon ;)

:0 I might grab one of those tomorrow..Is nyaquatic a good store?
they are 1/2 hr. from my home, so I know them well...you can call Michael, the owner, direct, and he will personally help you, and answer any questions. I believe he will not ship, unless the fish is eating!

That's great..I'll give him a call tomorrow. I've been looking for a healthy yellow belly.

I just ordered a eating, 3 inch, yellow belly Regal from them. :)

Regal Angels are not rare, but EATING Regals are.

LA does have them eating before they ship out. They do QT and treat them for parasites and they do offer a 14 day gaurentee...

There are good reasons people like to buy a difficult to keep fish from LA DD. ;)

That $89 Regal drop ships from a west coast supplier. Guarenteed to have atleast some form of parasites. Almost guarenteed to not eat and chances of long term success are probably 1 in 4... at best! (I feel that I am being generous here, 1 in 5+ wouldnt suprise me a bit.)

I have had great luck with LA DD and feel a lot more comfortable buying a regal from them but I would still not expect more then 2 in 4 regals even coming from those guys to make it long term.

Can somebody elaborate on the differences between the LA DD, and just LA that is guaranteed to have parasites, and not be eating?
I thought the only difference was that they QT the dd fish, and show the actual pic of what you are buying.

Also nice grab. Post pics when you get him.

Now, I may never try to order online for fish/corals.
If everything is sold as you go to put in your "shopping cart" what would be the point?
But like someone said, Regals aren't REALLY rare..
SDguy: Sorry to hear that, such a beautiful fish..

Matthew
