ok guys im still new and stupid but my situation deserves less panic than i first thought. i have a group of zo's that have a serpant star living in the zo rock. this is not really a problem because it is clear that its not out to harm them but it does however bother them. it appears to be of decent size many an inch and a half if legs were streched out so i wouldnt mind keeping it. any tips/ideas to get the two apart? thanks everyone.

I have had a star that has lived in my various rocks amongst the zoanthids for over 3 years. You can usually only see it's legs sitcking out, but one night I did catch it out in the open. If it is this kind of star, it shouldn't cause any trouble.
