serpent star legs eaten?

While moving rocks around, I noticed the last inch of each leg on my star was missing. Only new things in the tank are w coral banded shrimp and a kole tang (now in my 90). The star has been with all other inhabitants for over a year. Everything else seems healthy and well feed.

Probably the shrimp, they're opportunistic and will eat anything they can. Has it grown recently? The boosted size could have made it decide to take on your serpent star.

ive watched. they stayed in seperate parts of the tank, and never once have i seen the shrimp with in 12 inches of the star. And I look at my tank 3 times a night, more sometimes, using a red light (I pee a lot LOL).

The star is done, sitting on a pile of its tenticles, no chunk larger than 2/3 inch. Going to remove it and euthenize it. I have no clove oil, so ice water? blunt force?

Starfish don't have brains. Just drop a brick on it or something, that'll destroy all the living bits nice and fast.
