SERPENT STAR vs. TUBE ANEMONE

I have a really sweet tube anemone in my 175. Just love it!
I am breaking down another tank that has a brittle star and a sepent star in it.
I want to add these guys to my 175...but want to make sure I wont have a problem here. My main concern is the stars may go after the amemone fo a little snack.

Any guidance most appreciated.

I think the starfish are more likely to become the snacks.

Im not sure how big your tube nem is, but they are pretty darn aggresive and given the fact some can get really big (2feet across) makes them a really good predator.

This tube is only like 8"or so. The opening is only like an inch wide.
The stars are pretty big. I don't see any way the tube could do any damage.
I know these stars are sometimes known to eat snails and small hermits.
Just want to make sure Im not making a mistake with this.

When i lived in my old neighborhood i frequently visited a friend that had a 60g cube dedicated to a tube nem. Any shrimp, invert or fish that went into that tank became food. I would not underestimate their sting and what they are capable of gobbling up

I am sure if they were smaller the stars may wander into trouble, but this size differential is just way to great. I don't see it happening.

So I take it serpents and brittles just do not eat tube anemones?

I have a serpent star the size larger than a hand and he is

imo if the serpent star gets just a taste of those tentacles it will send it running.

Your opinion was correct!
The serpent came out for a little dinner offering the other night and reached out and touched the nem. The response was like an electrical shock. He actually touched it a couple of times with the same result.

I am no longer concerned about the nems safety.
Looks like he can take care of himself
