Servo's 850 Gallon Upgrade

Well we have finally stared the work on our foundation. I am going to join the fiberglass tank club. There is a reason why public aquariums don't have glass tanks and it's not maintenance. I decided going that route to avoid any possible leaks. With that stated, I may go taller than I intended once I start to get some design sketches. The above architectural drawing will need to be modified. The good news is this project is sprouting legs. So the title of the thread is WAY off as the current plans will be a 101" X 72 " X 42 ". *head spins* The viewing window will be 36 inches.

I will have to amass a serious collection of trash containers to move this stuff\ The nice thing is my colonies will have more space to grow out!

Here are more fish room architectural drawings

Here is the lay out. I don't have correct size of the qt tanks in the plans as I may expand the length.

The foundation is in. Here is an idea of size perspective. I must be crazy.

I have the R/O waste water to drain into the pool. I was going to set up a cistern and irrigate the lawn, but that was a 30K project that I'd rather delegate elsewhere.

I did a "bog garden" for my R/O run off. No need for a holding tank.
Done right they just look like nice big flower bed full of iris, lilies, elephant ears and the like.

and have you thought about a real drum filter instead of the paper roll machine ?

I saw a similar rotors drum set up at a 30000 gallon system At a church here in Dallas. Very interesting. Thanks for the link.

Check with Norm at www.BWKoi.com if you are interested and have questions. He is now an importer for the Profi-drum filters made in Holland. Which are even better built and come in more sizes and 100% stainless steel construction if you want.

Alright, an update.

I was thinking about this the other day when I was in Dallas. Foundation looks great and the new tank dimensions, WOW!

Good idea on draining the ro/di water to the pool. I may end up doing that this Spring when I re-route my water water.

My buddy Menard had a few set up on some systems in his store in the late 90's while I'm also going to pick Charles Delbeek's head about the CSD's that were set up in Hawaii.

Small world. I remember those and the long baths full of coral he had at the stores. He mention you over our last conversation.

If you need any help with this new beast let me know. I'm in Coppell.
