set back

only 'cuz I know it makes a difference to you, I want to remind you that that's what it was sold to me as, not necessarily what it IS... :D

but you're definitely welcome to a frag or two! I'll wait for your PM to make plans...

OK, update:

every thing on that side has died

Anyway here is what i've learned. When the corals are going through any kind of stress and is bleaching, imediately remove the corals and frag off all the unaffected area and throw away the rest so that it doesn't infect the nearby corals. The brown jelly will kill off the stressed corals very fast so imediate action must be taken.

Do an emergency water change and add alot of carbon to the system so other corals won't get infected. The corals will seem like it has alot of tissue left and you might think that it will recover, but it will not, so frag it imediately.

Thanks Elensius, thats bridnest is tricky to color up, some people have it nice and green with purple pollyps on one side and then light link with blue pollyps on the other so go figure. You will always be able to get a piece back down the road if you need to.

Tom- Do I have anything of yours you'd like back? I know I have blue/purple milli and the stag from steve. I just fragged the milli for the last meeting, so that one will take a minute. The stag from steve's got a 1/2" I cut for you. LMK

Jake, thats cool of you man, thanks. I love to get what ever you can set me up with, Those blue milli and stag sounds nice. I like to trade for another piece of that roscoblue if you still have it. I lost that too. I have other stuff you might like so lmk

No problem man....anything I can do to ease the pain and heart ache of a fellow reefer! Unfortunatelt, I lost my colony of the roscoe's blue about 2 months ago :mad2: But Nuuze from MARS has some that I traded him a while back, he's got a post up right now selling frags. Check it out, he's got nice stuff!

I'll check everything tonight and LYK 2morrow. Maybe I could stop by later this week.

northbay-reefer,
I bought the Roscoes from Nuuze, but as soon as it's ready to frag, I'll see about getting some to you. I won't move over to Santa Rosa til my house sells in Roseville, but I'm over there all the time for work and we can get together some time. I'd love to see your setup sometime. I've got a ton of other frags, so if you want something else as well, let me know. Everything is still small, but if it's big enough to frag, I will. You can check out my webpage for a semi current list of what i've got.

Good advise. Sorry Tom. I feel bad I didn't recommend you breaking off the good peices when I was there. I just figured you where going to do that. I hope the ORA rose millapora will do well for you. I'm definitly up for direct trading so let me know if I have anything you want. You have quit a nice collection. Just recently a customer of mine invited me over to frag his corals for insurance. I took 1" frags of anything I didn't have in case he losses anything or everything he always has a way to get them back.

Eileen thanks, I think in about a month, everything will be new and growing again on that side. Btw, your big bertha was on that side but she was smart enough to close up so she is recovering nicely.

Hi Tom
Sorry to hear about your lost. I think I have that blue mili. or two that are really close.PM me and you can come by and pick out any thing you want a frag of in my tank.
:)

Wayland thanks alot man, I'll definitely take you up on that, I have been meaning to stop by your house but havent been able to. If you are in the area, you can pick stuff out of my tank too.

The supports has been awsome, people as far as Floria are offering to replace some stuff, and all the local reefers are just awsome. Thanks so much to everyone for the out pouring supports.
