They used to teach this sort of thing BEFORE the internet.
Now the instructional system seems to assume people are born knowing how.
But this, just to be helpful, is at least a reasonably simple method for getting what you want out of Google.

['targeting' the topic] [specific desired topic] [limiting word---several, if too many results]
[aquarium]-------------[pump]------------------------[submersible] [2000 gph]

If you don't get an answer with 'submersible' in the search terms, try it without that limiting word. If you get too many answers with it, add another limiter.

First, target it, then name it, then limit it. 1,2,3.

Another quick tip is I like to use Google to search reefcentral or other sites. To specify a site like reefcentral.com add at the end of the search query

site:sitename.com

Example, I want to know more about internal vs external skimmers so the search query would be:

Internal vs external skimmers site:reefcentral.com

Yep. Good one.
I offer the above because there are SOOOOO many questions for which there is an easy Google answer. And in the theory some folk might not have had library lookup training, (I had a *lot* of it) I figured it was better to light a candle than to curse the darkness --- and just 'splain the how-to.

Yea this works for a lot of sites except when People posting adds Cheat on key words.. Sometimes you can view source and find a 10 mb file for key words to get there product in your search.....

This is worse with news SITES... Amazon and ebay is ALSO Terrible with this...
