Setting up 180 and floor not level

long story short, the contractor is a long time friend of the family and wanted to give small guy business instead of big company(home depot) so I went with him. I didnt get much of a price break it was only $50 difference. I am just ****ed because I told him from jump street tank was going there and had to be level. He said to make floor level each tile would have to be at different heights so he leveled the tile to each other. The reason why the floor got tiled was for new tank to go in and would of spent the money if need be to get it right. I had wood laminate down and didnt like it and wanted a new tank so tiled the floor. Just wish I would of know what I know now. Looks like will be taking tank down this weekend and either building little legs on inside of stand or shimming it. Will update when get to that point!thanks again for all your guys info and help!

I kind of guessed it leaned that way for one reason or another since you weren't demanding a redo.
FWIW I haven't exactly seen the best work from HD's subs either, though you do have a lil more leverage against the company.
Best of luck to ya, show us pics when done.

Just shim it. They could have and probably should have leveled it but I would shim and move on since you know he won't be redoing it. I had to shim my 210 1/2" and covered it with a moulding. Get a 5/8" cove moulding and it can be bent into place to cover the shims.

That sucks man. I wouldn't do the legs thing. Just go to HD and get some cedar shingles and use those to level it out. Just noticed your right up the road from me. I'm also in process of setting up a 180.

nate give me a call i got an idea but it depends on how u built the base of the stand.... could possible shim to level then take a sribe and mark where the high tiles are and just sand the bottom of the stand making it level!!!
