Looks good! :)

Thank you NanoGurl, Very sorry to hear about your Black Ich problem, Hopefully someone can give you a good treatment plan:(

I finally got some more work done, although I have caused a bit of toxic paint smell through the whole house...family is not very happy with me.

Oh well, enough about that...I only have one picture for tonight, but I got the top glued down, the wall and floor painted and a coat of primer on the whole stand. WhooHOOO!

The toxic smell is from oil based primer...Really toxic:rolleyes:

Thanks :)

Looks great!

Sorry to hear about the smell. Maybe try opening up some doors and windows and any window fans if you have any?

Every window is open, fans running, candles burning, air fresheners sprayed....Wife is not very happy with me right now. I will be waiting awhile before I go to bed, hopefully she will be sleeping:rolleyes:

Thanks for the advice NanoGurl:)

Be careful with that oil based primer, I lost me sense of smell for two months once when I used that stuff in a not well ventilated room!

Awww :( Sorry! Hopefully it smells better soon!

Thanks NG, upstairs is clear of toxic smell, downstairs is still a little noxious. I am going to take the stand outside to finish painting it outside.

Thanks JB NY, I am not going to make that mistake twice.

Wow what a day today!!!! I didn't even eat anything until 4:00pm today. Picked up the tank, skimmer, Sump and some excellent frags from Three Fish and had it all home by 10:45. The tank was so heavy I had to have a friend help my son and I take it down stairs. I then finished painting the stand and acclimated the frags. My wife was so happy that she actually forgave me for the Toxic paint smell from a couple of nights ago :D

Here are a couple pics from today.

I am now really wiped out, frags are in the tank, about 50 lbs of live rock is in a tub with a water pump and now I'm waiting for the stand to dry (outside) so I can put it all in place.

Good Times:cool:

Thanks again Three Fish:)

:D Hey NG, it's awesome!!! My wife has indeed let me off the hook, she can now get the tangs she been asking for since I started the 46.

It's very cool, all the possibilities of what this tank can be have crossed my mind...a little intimidating but very exciting.

She really wants a Dorie (blue hippo?) and a naso. I have been trying to find something different, but of course whats different is also complicating to keep.

I was thinking of getting a feather star, they are so cool but I've read they need special dietary requirements. So maybe an orange or blue linka star.

This is the hardest part imo, trying to find the perfect balance of fish, coral, inverts and live rock placement.

I just did a search to find out what, they are filter feeders, so I guess it wouldn't be that hard after all. I know I read somewhere that they are hard to keep, and end up starving.

Something I have noticed about information on the web...very hit or miss.

Update pics,

If you notice, I had a problem getting the sump to fit, I really thought I had enough room...but noooo.

I put about 10 gallons of fresh water in to clean up some of the residual salt and debris.
Made yet another trip to get some plumbing supplies for the drain and return lines.

Before I start filling up the tank, I have to wait for replacement RO/DI filters and resin to get here, should be on the 25th. I also ordered a tds input/output tester, so I can actually tell how good the output really is.

I did purchase the Outer Orbit 72" pro, but they did not have it in stock, should be in around May 1st:(
