setting up a salt water tank

One point to think about IMO if you are going to go with a 6' 220 then 250MH would be min being as it is a 30" deep tank. Not sure but I think reefy1 might have a whole set up for sale.

i think i seen a couple of them listed in that dimension. but i was thinging about takeing a 135 or something like that an have a new bottom an sides cut from glass cages. an then build my own tank

Be very carefull with glasscages, yes they have great prices but their work is very poor IMO and they do not give any warranty with their work.

Yeah I second that. If your gonna go through that much trouble of gettin a tank then having it all cut up you probably would be better off getting one custom built. Try Miracles or someone other than glasscages. I've read lots of threads with problems of all types with them. Just my opinion thouh. Never worked with them personally.

ok how do i get in contact with miracles. an also the only thing i was going to get from glass cages was three pieces of glass not a tank

i spoke with jorge this morning an i think im going to just use the 120 i have if i do salt water. i want a larger tank for my african cichlids

i would love to be able to set it up now but unfortunately i sand an finish floors for a living an the construction buss is doing the greatest around my way. so unfortunately i dont have the funds to set it up now. but if anybody has any hardwoods they might want redone let me know an i will give ya a good price
