I have been setting up the calcium reactor. Once i have ph setpoint value, what kind of settings should i put on the Co2 and output of the calcium reactor? quite lost in this....right now i left it at 1 bubble/sec, is that ok?
The tank is a 210G with SPS, LPS and softies. The pH is currently at 8.32 measured with the pH controller after being calibrated. KH is currently 3 meg/l and calcium at 320. KH and Calcium were measured last week before I added some calcium hydroxyde to the auto top off. The calcium reactor was only setup yesterday.
sorry roger but i have another question. I placed the calcium reactor in my sump in the return section, the probe is in the skimmer section just before the baffles. The wird thing is the Ph is jumping around like crazy ...it was 8.32 for most of yesterday, and today it went up to 9.3 then back down to 7.2 at night. Could the vibrations from the skimmer, or the current be causing this. I can assure you that no additions were made that could alter the pH in such a drastic manner. Where is the best place to place the probe?
